E835, Educational Research in Action, is an Open University post graduate course I am studying. As I come across papers, I write a critique designed to make my reading active and to stimulate my thinking. I question “What does the author mean?”; “Is the author right?” My personal testing of reasoning and support for conclusions may appear irreverent or impertinent; these opinions are my own and are not necessarily those of my employers, the E835 course team, tutors or students.
I am at that time in a man's life when he actually listens when someone mentions work pensions. I am an educational technologist and my main research interest is into social networking active worlds e.g. Second Life.
I have other blogs that focus on my work, so this one is occasional and features things that seem a good idea to write about at the time. So it will be quirky!
